Gwili “Jill” Cox, 80, Union City, Ind. passed away peacefully Thursday, March 6, 2014 at Rest Haven Nursing Home in Greenville. She fought hard for six years, but her sharp mind and strong disposition were unable to overcome the cancer consuming her body.

She was born May 21, 1933 to the late Herb and Mary “Lucille” Snider in Union City, Ind. where she lived her entire life.

Jill married Richard “Dick” Jordan on December 25, 1953 and she shared many great years with Dick’s wit and great sense of humor until his passing in 1981. She remarried to Richard “Dub” Yost of Winchester, Ind. who passed in 2003.

Jill leaves to cherish her memory; husband Kenny Cox of Union City, Ind., children; Herb Jordan of Satelite Beach, FL, Tonda Jordan of Cumming, GA, Marla Meeks of Dunkirk, IN, Chad (Stacy) Jordan of Union City, OH, Dave (Jeanie) Hollopeter and Melinda Cox both of Union City, IN. 5 Grandchildren; Maria, Michael, Mackenzie, Nathan and Jalisa. 5 Great grandchildren; Haley, Isaac, Brayden, Joshua and Rylee. Brothers; Jack Snider of Helena, MT and Larry Snider of Greenville, OH, and a sister; Judy Hindsley of Union City, IN. An extended family of nieces, nephews and a wide circle of friends all of whom she loved dearly. A special mention of her dear friend from 1st grade Mrs. James (Jeanie) Lewis of Union City, IN also survives.

Jill was preceded in death by her parents Herb and Lucille Snider, 1st husband Richard “Dick” Jordan “1981,” 2nd husband Richard “Dub” Yost “2003,” a son Kenneth Cox Jr. “2010,” and a grandson Wesley.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m., Wednesday March 12, 2014 at the Union City Cemetery with a Church service at 11 a.m., at the Community Fellowship Church with the Pastor Rodger Garland officiating. A meal will follow at the church that all are invited to attend where the celebration of Jill’s life may continue.
