Kenneth L. Hoggatt, age 70, of Lake Havasu City, AZ, died November 9, 2013, at his home following a brief battle with cancer.
Born September 16, 1943, to Merrill Gene and Ruth (Olwine) Hoggatt, he grew up on the family farm in Rossburg, Ohio and graduated from Mississinawa Valley High School in 1961. He served in the United States Navy for 3 years, and settled in Bakersfield, CA following his military service. Eventually moving to Southern California, he established his own business and enjoyed watersports and horseback riding. After retirement, he moved to Lake Havasu City.
Survivors include his wife Joyce (Green Kessler), stepsons Cary and Marcus Kessler; stepdaughters from a previous marriage Teresa, Sandra, and Yolanda; his mother Ruth; his sisters Barbara (John) Campbell, Kitrina (Steve) Styer, and Rita Hoggatt; aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews; cousins; step-grandchildren, and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Merrill Gene; his twin sister Karen; and his sister Janet (Richard) Hurd.
Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service which will be held at the Greenville First United Methodist Church, 202 W. 4th St., Greenville, on Sunday, Dec. 1, 3 p.m., with the Pastor Angela Meeks officiating. Kenneth’s wish was to be cremated and ashes strewn on the Colorado River.
