Memorial Day Info - Community Action Partnership of Greater Dayton/Darke County will be closed May 27, in honor of Memorial Day. This includes the Metropolitan Housing Authority. Regular hours will resume May 28.
CAP Community Transportation will be in operation for those who need service on May 27. Reservations should be made by May 24 for transportation by calling 547-9129.
GHS Class of 1969 - The Greenville Class of 1969 will hold its annual mini-reunion on Aug. 17, 2-4 p.m. at the Elks Lounge on Third and Sycamore, Greenville. Please park in the Elks back parking lot and enter through the back door. The class will begin planning for its 45th reunion on June 15 at 1:30 p.m. at the Maid-Rite shelter house. Class members should plan to attend the June 15 meeting if they wish to voice their opinions concerning the location and type of reunion for 2014. Help is needed to contact class members for the large event. For more information, contact Debby Sodders at 548-7951. All class members are welcome on both dates.
Genealogical Society – The Darke County Genealogical Society, Inc. is holding its annual picnic on June 6, 5:30 p.m., in the Greenville City Park, at the same shelter that has been used in the past. Bring food to share and your tableware and come to have a good time.

Alumni Banquet - The 2013 Westmont, Hollansburg and Palestine Alumni Banquet will be held June 15 at the Golden Eagle Christian Center in Palestine. The time to arrive is 4 p.m. with dinner served at 5 p.m. The theme this year is “An Italian Experience.” Everyone is welcome that attended Westmont, Hollansburg, and Palestine; even if you did not graduate from there. Retired Teachers – The Darke County Retired Teacher's Banquet will be held May 21, 6:30 p.m., at the First Presbyterian Church, 114 E. 4th St, Greenville (next to the orange palm tree). Reservation forms need to be sent to Jan Nelson by May 13.
DAR May meeting – The Fort GreeneVille Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution will meet May 18, noon, at the Greenville City Park Shelter House #2. This is a picnic luncheon meeting with family members included and reservations are required. Anyone interested in joining DAR is welcome to attend the meeting for more information. Reservations can be made by calling 548-1040.
DCHHA Chicken Dinner - Darke County Harness Horsemen’s Association 2013 Darke County Matinee Chicken Dinner will be held May 19, 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Darke County Fairgrounds. Dinner tickets are $7.50; races start at 1 p.m and are free. For tickets, call 459-0414 or any DCHHA member.
